The Child Dental Benefits Schedule can be used for children’s in-chair dental treatment (not hospital-based treatment). We offer a wide range of children’s dental treatments in-chair at our local clinic. We can bulk-bill eligible families, with no out-of-pocket costs, up to $1,132 over two calendar years.
In-chair sedation for children
We offer nitrous oxide (happy gas) to help anxious children feel calmer during treatment. It is a safe, gentle option for children. In-chair sedation is generally more affordable than hospital treatment and avoids the longer recovery time associated with general anaesthesia.

You don’t have to wait months to get in at Ipswich Kids Dentist. No referral is required to book. This means your child can be seen sooner without needing to go through extra steps before making an appointment.

0-2 Years
0-2 Years
Early care focuses on feeding, teething, and building healthy habits from the start. We help support comfortable feeding, gentle cleaning, and early checks as your baby’s first teeth come through.
3-5 Years
3-5 Years
As all baby teeth come in, this is a key stage for preventing decay and building strong brushing habits. We guide families on diet, oral care, and managing common issues like thumb sucking and early dental injuries.
6-11 Years
6-11 Years
This is when baby teeth are replaced with adult teeth. We focus on protecting new teeth, monitoring development, and preventing problems early with treatments like fissure sealants.
12-16 Years
12-16 Years
With all adult teeth in place, the focus shifts to long-term care, orthodontics, and protecting teeth during sport. We help teenagers maintain healthy habits and manage changing risks.
